This was from a project for my course where we had to do a series of 10 photographs on any theme… I decided to base them loosely around the song ‘Ordinary life’ by Kristen Barry, which is all about falling in love and letting down your walls to show someone the true you, and how it’s ordinary and yet really powerful and sometimes hard. Unfortunately I only ended up liking five out of the ten I made! I named it;
‘I want to tell you this story without having to confess anything.
(It’s nothing more than ordinary life)

Is there supposed to be a medical connotation to this? If you glance at it a certain way, you can see the tulip as a syringe about to destroy perfection by piercing it, and the white one over the breast looks kind of like a swab. Then the next one is red - they could be drops of blood. I see it as a photo exploring extremes, as these things couldn't be further away from the innocent beauty of flowers.
