I saw Garbage live last night.... they were
AMAZING! Two people away from the front of the gig
crushed, drenched in sweat, could barely breathe
Purrrrfection.
Shirley is a fucking Goddess. I was about a person length away from her, right at the center!
and CAN YOU BELIEVE I didn't bring my camera *sighs*
but I am going to see them again for the Brixton date ;D
They played SUCH an amazing set-list of old and new, so many of my favourite songs growing up!
Shirley Manson was probably one of my very first feminist influences (or should that just be kick-ass brilliant woman influences?). She's out-spoken about LGBTQ issues, about sexuality, about her own self harm in the hopes of helping others
She's just in your face fucking fantastic. And last night I was about a person length away from her, crushed in a beautiful crowd singing along to some of the songs that helped me keep my own in your face fucking fantastic attitude when times were low ♥
I thought to post this here because the gig made me feel so alive... I feel like finally, some damn inspiration may be returning! I finish my course in only four weeks (can't-fucking-wait) and my head is already filled with ideas! Watch this space ;D
Ooooh and the woman filming this video was standing about two people to the right of me... to give you an idea of how damn near the amazing Shirley Manson I was... it felt like I was singing up to her and she down to me! (especially when they played Supervixen and she sang
BOW DOWN TO ME hell fucking yes I will bow down to her)! >>>
